In the latest NEPSE market update, the Nepal stock exchange (NEPSE) lost points again on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026. The benchmark index fell by 26.05 points, closing at 2,672.39, extending its recent losing streak.
On Monday, 112 companies’ shares went down while 42 went up. Prices of six companies stayed the same.
A total of about 26.7 million shares were traded in 102,081 transactions. The total turnover was around Rs 10.77 billion. This was lower than Sunday’s turnover of Rs 11.65 billion, showing that trading interest fell slightly.
Out of 13 sector groups on the market, only the trading group closed higher. All other sectors ended the day in the red. This broad drop across sectors pushed the NEPSE index lower. In this update of the NEPSE market, it can be shown that strong selling pressure does exist in the Nepal stock market as more and more investors are selling their shares while buyers are less active, thereby keeping the market under pressure.
