The gold and silver prices falls for two consecutive days on 17th May 2026, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold & Silver Dealers’ Association.
Price of high-quality gold has been steady at Rs 294,000 per tola. This price is down by Rs 4,500 compared to the price on the previous day of trade. The price of gold was Rs 298,500 per tola on 15th May 2026.
Similarly, the silver price has dropped. Currently, the rate for silver stands at Rs 5,060 per tola, which is Rs 330 lower than its closing price yesterday. On May 15, the silver price stood at Rs 5,390 per tola.
The decline in prices of precious metals points to some fluctuations in the domestic bullion market. As per traders, the fluctuation in prices is due to the trends followed by the international market.
