PARSA, Nepal – January 27, 2026 – Nepal Petroleum imports have seen a steady rise in the first six months of the current fiscal year. Data from the Birgunj Customs Office show significant growth compared with the same period last year.
Petroleum products worth Rs 90.6 billion were imported through the Birgunj border checkpoint in the first half of this fiscal year. This is an increase of Rs 2.75 billion compared with imports during the same period last year. Revenue from these imports rose to Rs 37.85 billion.
