Kathmandu, Nepal — Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign currency exchange rate for Wednesday, January 28, 2026, showing how major world currencies are priced against the Nepalese Rupee.
Foreign Currency Exchange Rate for today
According to the central bank’s update:
- 1 U.S. dollar is being bought at NPR 146.46 and sold at NPR 147.06.
- 1 Euro is at NPR 174.13 (buy) and NPR 174.85 (sell).
- 1 British pound is being bought at NPR 200.76 and sold at NPR 201.58.
- 1 Swiss franc is at about NPR 188.99 (buy) and NPR 189.77 (sell).
Other world currencies were also set today, including the Australian dollar, Canadian dollar, Singapore dollar, Japanese yen and Chinese yuan.
For regional exchanges, 100 Indian rupees (INR) was fixed at NPR 160.00 (buy) and NPR 160.15 (sell).
