US Dollar Rate Nepal Drops Slightly

Kathmandu — The US dollar rate Nepal has fallen slightly, according to the latest foreign exchange rates set by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).

NRB has fixed the buying rate for one US dollar at Rs 144.47 and the selling rate at Rs 145.38 for today. This shows a small decline in the US dollar rate Nepal for buying compared to previous days.

Other major currencies also saw varied rates. The European euro’s buying rate is Rs 171.30, and the selling rate is Rs 172.01. The UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 196.47 and sold at Rs 197.29. The Swiss franc’s buying rate is Rs 187.67 with a selling rate of Rs 188.45.

Among other currencies, the Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 102.40 and sold at Rs 102.82. The Canadian dollar’s buying rate is Rs 106.05, while the Singapore dollar’s buying rate is Rs 114.15 and selling rate is Rs 114.99.

For Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen has a buying rate of Rs 9.42 and a selling rate of Rs 9.46. The Chinese yuan stands at Rs 20.96 for buying and Rs 21.04 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is being bought at Rs 38.60 and sold at Rs 38.76. The Qatari riyal buying rate is Rs 39.61, and the selling rate is Rs 39.78.

The central bank also listed exchange rates for other currencies like the Thai baht, UAE dirham, Malaysian ringgit, and South Korean won, reflecting minor changes from yesterday’s levels.

NRB said it can revise exchange rates as needed, and commercial banks may have slightly different rates for customers. Updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
