US Dollar Slightly Increases in Nepal After Recent Decline

Kathmandu, April 10, 2026 — The US dollar slightly increases in Nepal after falling continuously for several days, according to Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).

Today, the buying rate of one US dollar is set at Rs. 147.96 and the selling rate at Rs. 148.56. On Thursday, it was Rs. 147.84 (buying) and Rs. 148.44 (selling), showing a small rise in value.

Along with the US dollar, other major foreign currencies also showed minor fluctuations. The Euro is set at Rs. 172.82 (buying) and Rs. 173.53 (selling), while the British Pound Sterling stands at Rs. 198.45 (buying) and Rs. 199.26 (selling). The Swiss Franc is priced at Rs. 187.05 (buying) and Rs. 187.81 (selling).

Among other currencies, the Australian Dollar is at Rs. 104.13 (buying) and Rs. 104.55 (selling), Canadian Dollar at Rs. 106.86 and Rs. 107.29, and Singapore Dollar at Rs. 116.07 and Rs. 116.54. Similarly, the Japanese Yen (10 units) is at Rs. 9.31 (buying) and Rs. 9.35 (selling), and the Chinese Yuan at Rs. 21.64 and Rs. 21.72.

Gulf currencies also remain steady with slight changes. The Saudi Riyal is at Rs. 39.43 (buying) and Rs. 39.59 (selling), Qatari Riyal at Rs. 40.58 and Rs. 40.75, UAE Dirham at Rs. 40.29 and Rs. 40.45, Kuwaiti Dinar at Rs. 482.74 and Rs. 484.70, Bahraini Dinar at Rs. 392.21 and Rs. 393.80, and Omani Rial at Rs. 384.31 and Rs. 385.87.

The Indian currency remains stable at Rs. 160 per 100 rupees (buying) and Rs. 160.15 (selling).

Overall, the US dollar slightly increases after recent losses, while other currencies remain mostly stable with minor fluctuations in the Nepali foreign exchange market.
