The Sanigad Hydro IPO postponed, due to the government-imposed public holiday on May 28 for Baqar Eid. This IPO was scheduled to begin on May 28; however, it will start on June 1, 2026.
An offer of 30% of the total value of its issued capital, which is equal to Rs 2.85 billion, will be made through the IPO. There will be a total of 8,550,000 units of shares valued at Rs 855 million offered to the general public. In the first round, the company had already issued shares to the locals of affected areas, Nepalese employees abroad, employees, and mutual funds with the number of units equaling 2,850,000, 570,000, 171,000, and 285,000, respectively.
Phase Two will see the issuance of 4,674,000 units of stock amounting to Rs 467.4 million to the common public. An application for a minimum of 10 units and a maximum of 20,000 units of stock is allowed.
The period of the issue ends early on June 4 and stays open until June 15 if there is no full subscription. “BB-“ is the rating given to the firm by ICRA Nepal.
Laxmi Sunrise Capital Limited has been named as the Issue Manager for this issue. Applications for the IPO can be made at all C-ASBA members, as well as online via the MeroShare.
The Sanigad Hydro IPO postponed is not anticipated to change much regarding the investor timeline, but the demand for hydropower IPOs in Nepal still continues.
