Kathmandu, April 19 (Baishakh 6, 2083) — The US Dollar stable in Nepal today by the Nepal Rastra Bank.
The central bank has determined that the buying rate of one US dollar is Rs. 148.39, whereas the selling rate remains constant at Rs. 148.99. The situation suggests a steady pattern for the dollar in Nepal.
There have been minor changes to some other significant foreign exchange currencies as well. The value of the Euro currency is trading at Rs. 175.06 to buy and Rs. 175.76 to sell. Likewise, the British Pound Sterling is trading at Rs. 200.75 to buy and Rs. 201.56 to sell.
Apart from the above-mentioned currencies, there are other commonly traded currencies such as the Australian dollar, which is fixed at Rs. 106.40 for buying and Rs. 106.83 for selling, the Canadian dollar at Rs. 108.49 for buying and Rs. 108.93 for selling,
As far as the rates for the Asian and Middle East region are concerned, they consist of Japanese Yen (10) being priced at Rs. 9.32 buy rate and Rs. 9.36 sell rate, Chinese Yuan being priced at Rs. 21.75 and Rs. 21.84, Saudi Riyal being priced at Rs. 39.56 and Rs. 39.72, Qatari Riyal being priced at Rs. 40.70 and
Fixed exchange rates of 100 rupees of India are set at Rs. 160 while purchasing and Rs. 160.15 while selling.
Other foreign currencies available for exchange include the Thai Baht, which is worth Rs. 4.63 (buying rate) and Rs. 4.65 (selling rate), the Malaysian Ringgit, valued at Rs. 37.54 and Rs. 37.70, and the South Korean Won (100 units) worth Rs. 10.03 and Rs. 10.07.
Valuable foreign currencies are still expensive, including the Kuwaiti Dinar, whose buying rate is Rs. 484.62 and selling rate is Rs. 486.58, the Bahraini Dinar worth Rs. 393.53 and Rs. 395.12, and the Omani Rial, valued at Rs. 385.42 and Rs. 386.98.
The US dollar stable in Nepal shows that there is neutrality or positivity in Nepal’s foreign exchange market, but the small changes in other currency rates show that there are still adjustments in the world economy.
