The US dollar rate in Nepal today rises as Nepal Rastra Bank updates foreign exchange rates

The US dollar rate in Nepal today rises, based on the most recent foreign exchange rates released by the Nepal Rastra Bank. The banking authority has adjusted the buying and selling prices of the US dollar higher than the preceding day, suggesting that the demand is increasing.

According to the recent updates, the buying price of 1 US dollar is set at Rs. 150.28, while the selling price is at Rs. 150.88. Previously, the buying price of 1 dollar was at Rs. 149.78, while the selling price was at Rs. 150.38.

Besides the US dollar, there have been some other important foreign exchange rates that have been revised, too. In this regard, the euro rate has been set to Rs. 175.56 (buying rate) and Rs. 176.26 (selling rate). On the other hand, the buying rate of the British pound sterling has been set to Rs. 202.80, whereas its selling rate is Rs. 203.61.

However, other currencies’ rates are also available. The currency rate for the Australian dollar is Rs. 107.31 (buy) and Rs. 107.74 (sell), while that for the Canadian dollar is Rs. 109.93 (buy) and Rs. 110.37 (sell). The rate of the Singapore dollar is Rs. 117.67 (buying) and Rs. 118.14 (selling).

The currencies from Asia and the Middle East have also been updated. The rate for Japanese yen (10 pieces), has been updated to Rs. 9.41 buy and Rs. 9.45 sell. For the currency of the Chinese yuan, the value is Rs. 21.99 and Rs. 22.07, respectively. Likewise, the Saudi riyal, Qatari riyal, UAE dirham, and other Gulf currencies have also been updated.

The Nepal Rastra Bank reports that Indian money is stable, with 100 Indian rupees equivalent to Rs. 160 for purchasing and Rs. 160.15 for selling.

In summary, the above information indicates a steady appreciation of the US dollar and fluctuations in other currencies worldwide, affecting international trade operations in Nepal.
