Kathmandu, Feb 1, 2026 — The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has updated fuel prices across the country, effective from Saturday midnight, following changes in purchase costs from its supplier. The latest revision directly affects the diesel price in Nepal and the kerosene price in Nepal.
NOC has increased the retail price of diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 per litre, leading to a rise in the diesel price in Nepal and the kerosene price in Nepal.
Under the new rates:
These categories refer to different depot locations, for example, Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, and Dhangadhi are Category A, Surkhet and Dang are Category B, while Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal fall under Category C.
Aviation Fuel Rates Reduced
In contrast, NOC has cut aviation fuel prices:
These changes were made by NOC based on the latest procurement cost data from Indian Oil Corporation, which is its sole supplier. The changes reflect an increase in the import cost of diesel and kerosene, as well as a decrease in the import cost of aviation fuel.
