Kathmandu, March 26, 2026 – Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced a fuel price increase in Nepal by Rs 15 per litre with effect from today.

The fuel price increase in Nepal is applicable to petrol, diesel, and kerosene. According to NOC, the decision to hike fuel prices has been taken after an increase in fuel prices in the international market.

With this hike in fuel prices, petrol is now priced at Rs 184.50 per litre in the first category, Rs 186 per litre in the second category, and Rs 187 per litre in the third category.

Similarly, diesel and kerosene prices have also been hiked to Rs 164.50 per litre in the first category, Rs 166 per litre in the second category, and Rs 167 per litre in the third category.

Under this new system of fuel pricing, Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amalekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, and Birgunj come under the first category. Surkhet and Dang come under the second category, and Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal come under the third category.

NOC has stated that this hike in fuel prices has been made because of continuous fluctuations in global oil prices.
