Key Details of IPO of Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower for Affected Locals

Kathmandu, March 25, 2026. Today is the last day for local residents of the affected areas to apply for the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower. The IPO for local residents was opened by the company on March 11, 2026, targeting the residents of Bhojpur District.

Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower is issuing 35.26% of its issued capital worth Rs. 1.20 billion. Out of this, a total of 42,230,668 units of shares worth Rs. 423 million will be offered to the general public in later phases. Currently, 10% of the total shares, equivalent to 1.2 million units worth Rs. 120 million, have been allocated specifically for locals of the project-affected areas.

Eligible local investors can apply for a minimum of 10 units and a maximum of 50,000 units. Care Rating Nepal has given the IPO of Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower a ‘BB’ rating, indicating a moderate level of risk for investors.

Prabhu Capital has been appointed as the issue manager for this offering. Interested applicants can submit their applications through the office of the issue manager, the project site office in Bhojpur, branches of Prabhu Bank located in Bhojpur, Pyauli, and Hatuwagadhi, as well as the Bhojpur branch of Citizens Bank International.

Local investors who have not yet applied are advised to complete their application process before the end of the day to avoid missing this opportunity.
