Kathmandu, Chaitra 8 – Yambaling Hydropower Limited has started issuing its Yambaling Hydropower IPO from today, targeting locals of Sindhupalchowk and Nepali citizens working abroad.
The company is offering 7,00,000 shares to project-affected locals of Sindhupalchowk District and 2,10,000 shares to foreign-employed Nepali workers.
The IPO for locals will remain open from Chaitra 8 to Chaitra 22, and if not fully subscribed, it may be extended till Baishakh 7. For Nepalis working abroad, the issue will close early on Chaitra 11 and can be extended till Chaitra 22 if needed.
Yambaling Hydropower has a total issued capital of Rs 70 crores. Out of this, 40% (28,00,000 shares) will be issued to the public. From this public portion, 7,00,000 shares (10%) are reserved for locals, while the remaining 21,00,000 shares (30%) will be issued to the general public later. Out of the general public quota, 2,10,000 shares have been set aside for Nepalis working abroad.
Investors from affected areas can apply for a minimum of 10 shares and a maximum of 7,000 shares. Similarly, foreign-employed Nepali workers can apply for a minimum of 10 shares and up to 21,000 shares.
The Yambaling Hydropower IPO is being managed by Muktinath Capital Limited. According to CARE Ratings Nepal Limited, the company has a CARE-NP BB- (Is) rating, which indicates a moderate level of risk.
Yambaling Hydropower, established in 2007 and converted into a public company in 2021, operates a 7.27 MW run-of-river project in Sindhupalchowk. The project started commercial operation on February 20, 2024 under the BOOT model.
