Kathmandu, February 22, 2026 — The gold price in Nepal went up on Sunday in Nepal’s domestic market after a recent dip, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association. Hallmarked gold is now trading at about NPR 310,300 per tola (11.66 g), approximately NPR 5,600 higher than Friday’s price. At the same time, silver is trading at around NPR 5,425 per tola.
Dealers say the increase is linked to changes in global gold markets and demand here at home. When international prices rise or currency values fluctuate, Nepal’s bullion market often follows the trend.
Experts add that investors and buyers are watching these movements closely because gold and silver remain important assets for savings and investment in Nepal.
