Nepal Gold Price Surge Sets New Record in Domestic Market

Kathmandu –Nepal Gold Price Surge to a record high of Rs 339,300 per tola (11.66 g) on Thursday. Traders say this sharp rise happened in just one day and makes this the highest gold price ever in Nepal’s market.

The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association says gold was trading at about Rs 318,800 per tola on Wednesday. In the past few days, prices have been going up fast.

Silver prices also rose. Silver now costs about Rs 7,505 per tola, another record level in the local market.

Experts say the rise is linked to global gold prices rising and more people buying gold as a safe investment. Because Nepal imports almost all its gold, global price trends quickly affect local prices.

This record price may affect buyers, jewellery shops, and people planning weddings or festivals. Many may wait to buy gold, but some buyers think the price could keep rising.
