The Nepal Stock Exchange, NEPSE gains slightly on Monday. This marked the end of the two-day decline. The benchmark index increased by 0.05 % and closed at 2,695.73. The trading value was lower at Rs 8.22 billion, indicating less activity than the previous day.
Share prices of 114 companies went up, while 134 fell and 13 stayed the same. More stocks declined than rose, but the small increase helped stop the recent drop in the market.
Some sectors like development banks, hotel and tourism, production and processing, non-life insurance and trading rose a bit, but most groups fell, which limited the overall gain.
Overall, the NEPSE showed a mild recovery. Investors are watching to see if the market can keep going up after the recent weak trend.
