Petro Products Prices Up in Nepal as Fuel Rates Surge Again

Kathmandu, April 10, 2026: Petro products prices up in Nepal as the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has once again hiked the prices of its petroleum products starting from midnight on Thursday.

This is after citing the high costs of crude oil in the international market, coupled with losses experienced by the organization.

With the recent hike in prices, petrol will now cost an additional Rs. 17 per liter, bringing the total to Rs. 219 per liter. Likewise, the price of diesel and kerosene has also been increased by Rs. 25 per liter.

There has also been an increase in the cost of cooking gas, with an increase in prices of LPG cylinders by Rs. 100, with new charges for a cylinder set at Rs. 2,010.

On the other hand, domestic aircraft fuel will be raised by Rs. 6, fixing the cost per liter at Rs. 257.

Although there is a significant rise in the prices, the NOC confirmed that it would still incur a loss of about Rs. 7.81 billion per week. It should be noted that the government has already exempted customs and infrastructural duties by 50%.

This latest update on petro products prices up is likely to affect transport costs and general inflation.
