KATHMANDU, May 3 — President Paudel issues three ordinances following the suggestion of the Council of Ministers. It is expected that these ordinances will make 1,594 public officials redundant from various organs of the government in Nepal.
These ordinances have been confirmed by the Office of the President on Saturday. These ordinances consist of amendments to health institutions, universities, and procedures for redundancy of public officials.
The following officials of various departments will be dismissed. These will include media and communication, aviation, educational institutions, health services, energy, financial institutions, agriculture, and social organizations.
The officials of the media and communication sector who will be dismissed are those from Nepal Airlines Corporation, Gorkhapatra Corporation, Press Council Nepal, and Nepal Telecommunications Authority.
Education officials, such as those from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University, Pokhara University, UGC, CTEVT, and other universities, will have to resign from their positions in the wake of these elections.
Health officials from institutions like BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Patan Academy of Health Sciences, and National Academy of Medical Sciences will also resign from their respective posts.
In the fields of energy and finance, the selection involves Nepal Electricity Authority, SEBON, Employees Provident Fund, and Kathmandu Valley Development Authority.
Whereas organizations, including Nepal Agricultural Research Council, Dairy Development Board, Nepal Academy, Lumbini Development Trust, and Pashupati Area Development Trust, will also undergo changes in the fields of agriculture and social affairs.
According to the news of the government, fresh appointments for the vacant seats will be announced shortly.
