The Election Commission of Nepal has launched a TikTok voter awareness contest, Nepal 2026. The aim is to educate people about voting before the 2026 elections. Young people are the main focus.
Participants must make one-minute videos. The videos should show why voting is important. They can also explain election rules. Videos must be shared on social media and sent to the Election Commission by March 1, 2026.
The top three videos will get cash prizes. First place wins Rs 50,000, second place Rs 30,000, and third place Rs 20,000. All winners will get certificates too.
The Election Commission wants videos to be creative and simple. Videos should have clear messages. Original content with storytelling and real audio will be given priority.
This contest is part of the Election Commission’s plan to use digital tools to improve voter awareness. Officials hope it will help more people know their voting rights and duties.
